Understand real world threats, assess what is at risk, explore available solutions and stay informed. Suitable for small business owners, people interested in cyber security careers and anyone who is curious to learn more.

These days, nearly everyone is online. Whether it's at home, at work or on the move, we all benefit from easy and almost instant access to applications that make us more productive and make life easier. Protecting yourself or your business online is as important as locking up your car, house or office at night. This non-technical Introduction to Cyber Security course:

- provides an overview of real world threats;
- defines concepts such as Ransomware, Phishing, Social Engineering, Malware and many more;
- explains how banks, healthcare providers, retailers, insurers and other providers we rely on are protecting us on a day-to-day basis;
- informs you about your rights as an employee and the obligations of employers;
- highlights who and what is at risk and how to assess your own risk;
- explores the impact of an attack or breach;
- details the types of solutions available;
- outlines the benefits of proactively implementing cyber security measures; and
- establishes how to create a security framework.

As this is an introductory course, participants are NOT required to bring laptops.
