Mindfulness offers a way of living more fully, whether enjoying your favourite music or dealing with difficult stress

This course is for anyone who is interested in learning how to live with a greater sense of joy as well how to deal more effectively with whatever stress arises in their lives. Each class will offer participants some experience of mindful practice:– meditation through training attention; body awareness; walking & movement practices; loving kindness and self-compassion. Aspects of why these practices will be explored though input and group sharing. There will be clear information given on the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course.
Participants will be introduced to some key mindfulness practices; they will gain some understanding of why and how mindfulness has the power to help us face life’s ups and downs with more balance. Learning how to slow down and look inside will allow participants to see that sometimes there is more choice available than may seem possible at first. The course will offer the chance to notice how often we listen to self-criticism and will encourage us towards greater compassion for self and others.
This course will help participants decide if they wish to learn more and develop a practice of mindfulness through doing the more formal 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course.
